Guest Speaker: Dr. Anca Prica (Odette Cancer Centre)

Dr. Anca Prica is a hematology/oncology fellow in the MDS program at the Odette Cancer Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. She completed her Internal Medicine and Hematology residencies at the University of Toronto and she is currently engaged in a subspecialty fellowship, focusing clinically and from a research perspective on hematologic malignancies, particularly MDS and lymphomas. Her current MDS-related research projects include a trial investigating the effects of adding Exjade to Vidaza in higher-risk MDS, as well as developing a trial to compare the effects of different transfusion triggers on the quality of life of MDS patients
